Other Information:
We build up to 1-1/2 hours driving distance from our shop in Benton.
Our crew works four, ten-hour days each week, usually Monday through Thursday.
Generally, it takes about 6 months to complete a home from the time we begin the excavation work. Larger or more complex homes may take longer.
My retainer fee is often credited to the construction contract.
We require a down payment when signing contracts.
If you're working with a bank, it is likely that they will require that you also purchase some kind of property insurance during the construction phase, even though we provide a "Builders Risk" policy on your project.
We are often able to provide complete home design services for less than $3000. Architects have different ways of charging for their services, so be sure you have a clear understanding of the charges before you enter into an agreement for architectural design services. Although probably more expensive than what we charge, I feel that the services of a good architect are usually worth more than they charge for their design expertise.
Under certain circumstances, I do allow my customers to do some of the work on their home themselves during my contract period.
We sometimes provide contracting services for partially completed homes, additions, our unique heated slab foundations, heat-recovery ventilation systems, and radiant floor heating systems.
We have our own crew on payroll and we tend to sub-contract less often than most builders. We're set up to do our own concrete slabs, framing, roofing, siding, blown-in insulation, ventilation systems, radiant floor heating systems, masonry, interior finish work, ceramic tile floors, tile showers, and a whole lot more. We are very hands-on when it comes to building your home, whether it's our own crew doing the work, or a sub-contractor.
We do something different than most builders each morning, we have the whole crew meet at the shop instead of just going to the jobsite. This does take extra time, but it assures that there's proper communication on a daily basis between myself and my crew. We have safety meetings on some mornings, other times we discuss the schedule, productivity, customer relations, discipline, etc... It gives us a chance to really talk about the projects and how things are going in general.

Greg could not do his job without the support of his wife of 26 years, Laurie.
Laurie is here in the office most of the week, except when she's out running errands for
the business. Her duties include payroll, tracking costs, insurances,
communication with customers, scheduling, billing, accounts receivable, accounts
payable, managing the books, ordering, truck maintenance, inventory, mail, and a whole
lot more.
Greg could not continue to operate this business without his lead foreman, Derek Foster. Derek's the one who really keeps everything on track at our jobsites. He's likely the person you will see every day at your project, working hard to maintain the high standards that we've put in place over the years. He's very good with our customers, he makes sure our jobs are done on time, and he knows as much about building quality homes as I do.
