What do we build?  The short answer is, just about anything.   But we do focus primarily on new single-family homes.  I'm often asked if we'll take on smaller projects like additions, and we do, but it's not what we try to do all the time.  I've got a lot of people who count on me to keep the work coming in so that they can earn a paycheck and provide for their families, so if we need the work, we'll take on just about any project.  If you've got a project that you need done that's not a new home, just ask, we are capable of doing almost any type of construction.

Most of the time we are very fortunate to have great customers who provide us with the opportunity to build them a fine new home.

We especially appreciate the challenge of building with unconventional methods and materials.  In this industry, innovation is freedom.   Our crew loves doing something different from job to job, and day to day.

We like building small homes!  Most people think that builders are always looking for the big fancy houses to build, and we like those too, but we also find building small homes to be very satisfying.

Over the years we have specialized in building super energy-efficient homes, and we've used some pretty innovative techniques to really raise the standards of the design.  In fact, for just about 12 years, we built super-insulated homes exclusively.

Today, we are much more flexible in what we build than ever before.   Since the idea of "Green" building has become more and more popular, we are finding our years of experience quite valuable.  We have many ideas for incorporating green building techniques and materials into new homes without breaking the bank.   To us, building green is really quite simple.  We've built many homes that priced out no higher than an average custom home in Maine, yet offered our customers a much higher level of energy-efficiency, and improved indoor air quality.   We offer masonry construction and post and beam panelized too.   We also build with Isulated Concrete Form (ICF) blocks for foundations as well as whole houses.

We still offer a super-insulated home system that we call our "Premier" home, which incorporates the very best of what we've learned over all these years.  These homes have 12" thick exterior walls, R-100+ ceilings, airtight construction, wonderful indoor air quality with a complete Heat Recovery Ventilation system, radiant floor heating, insulated monolithic slab foundation, our proprietary engineered framing system, beautiful interior hardwood finishes, extremely detailed construction techniques throughout the whole house, an owners manual, and much more.  I submit to you that you cannot find a better built home anywhere in the world.   Other builders claim to build high-quality homes, but there is a difference in what is considered high quality.  Once you learn what's included in the Premier package, you will re-assess your definition of high-quality construction.  Are they expensive?  Darn tootin they are!  But you get what you pay for in this world, don't let anyone tell you differently.

The good news is, if you can't afford one of our Premier homes, you can be sure that the same crew that's capable of building one, can easily handle building something a little simpler.
